Overview

Count down a duration or down to a date

How to Use

  1. 1

Choose the Timer tab for a fixed duration, or the To a date tab to count down to a specific date and time.

  2. 2

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the two modes?
The Timer tab counts down a fixed duration you set in hours, minutes, and seconds. The To a date tab counts down to a specific calendar date and time, showing days when needed.
Does the countdown keep running if I switch tabs?
The countdown keeps running while the browser tab is open, including in the background. It stops if you close the tab — the timer is not saved between sessions.
Can I pause and resume the timer?
Yes. Press Pause to hold the countdown at its current value, then Resume to continue from exactly where it stopped. Reset clears the countdown entirely.
Will it make a sound when time runs out?
If the sound toggle is on, a short chime plays the moment the countdown reaches zero. You can turn the sound off at any time.
Which time zone does the date mode use?
Date mode uses your device time zone. The target date and time you pick are interpreted in that zone, so the countdown matches your local clock.
Is my countdown private?
Yes. The countdown runs entirely in your browser. Your durations, target dates, and event names are never sent to a server.
