How to choose

Pick the right tool for your task

Combining documents

Merging multiple PDFs into one

PDF Merger combines files in any order. Drag to reorder pages, then download the merged document — entirely in your browser with no file upload.

Extracting pages

Splitting or cropping a PDF

PDF Splitter lets you pick individual pages or page ranges to extract into a new document. Ideal for separating invoices, contracts, or chapters.

File preparation

Creating PDFs from images

Image to PDF converts JPEG, PNG, and WebP files into a single PDF. Adjust page size and orientation before downloading.

Browser-only processing. No upload.

Every PDF tool on Tool Matic runs entirely in your browser using the PDF-lib library. Your documents are never transmitted to any server. You can verify this by opening DevTools and watching the Network tab while you work.

What you get

  • Local processing Everything runs in your browser. Nothing reaches our servers.
  • No file uploads Your PDFs are processed in the browser and never sent to a server.
  • Works offline After first load, tools work without a network connection.

Frequently asked questions

Do you upload or store my PDF files?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your PDF files are never sent to any server. We use PDF-lib, a JavaScript library that runs client-side, so the data never leaves your device.
How do I merge multiple PDF files into one?
Open the PDF Merger, drag your PDF files into the drop zone, reorder them if needed, then click Download. The merged PDF is assembled in your browser and downloaded directly.
How do I split a PDF into individual pages?
Open the PDF Splitter and drop your file. You can split every page into its own file or enter a custom range like "1-3, 5, 7-9". The resulting pages are downloaded as separate PDF files.
Can I convert JPG and PNG images to PDF?
Yes. The Image to PDF tool accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images. Drop one or more images, choose the page size, reorder if needed, and download the resulting PDF.
Do these tools work offline?
You need a connection for the first page load to download the tool. After that, the processing logic is cached in your browser and the tools can run without a network connection.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no server-side limit because files are never uploaded. However, very large PDFs (hundreds of megabytes) may be slow to process depending on your device memory and browser. For best performance, use files under 100 MB.
Can I use these tools on my phone?
Yes. All PDF tools are mobile-friendly with responsive layouts and large touch targets. Open any tool in your mobile browser — no app download required.
What is the difference between merge, combine, and join PDF?
Merge, combine, and join all mean the same thing: taking multiple PDF files and producing a single PDF document. Use the PDF Merger to do this in your browser.
